The Breakdown - Depict

Idea Proposal

Our initial idea is a horror, and will primarily be set in a forest of some sort. The main plot is that one of the character’s cars breaks down in the middle of no where on the outskirts of a forest, then as she goes and gets out of her car to find signal she hears a noise in the forest that sounds like someone needs help. So upon hearing this she ventures of into the forest to investigate the noise she previously heard, also whilst trying to get signal on her phone. She loses her way with her friend in the forest and roams around starting to doubt whether she heard the noise or if it was her imagination, and after thinking upon it she decides to return to the broken down car but they realize they have lost their way in the woods and can’t find their way back to the car. When they think they are going towards the car they are in fact heading deeper in, where they find a sinister looking object dangling from a tree and then suddenly the camera will drop to the floor for a few seconds and then there will be a shot of the two dead bodies as the video blacks out.

Get Over it - Induction Task

When filming 'Get Over It' we had a few problems with organisation and ideas. however the final product came out rather well. It is about gay relationships and how people react to it.

The first lesson, Lauren and Seb were absent so left Arina, Caitlin and Myself to come up with ideas. However I was rather preoccupied during this lesson, therefor it really fell on Caitlin and Arina. They then came up with the idea of gay relationships. We started to write out a plan of the different shots we planned to film.

The second lesson Caitlin was absent but Lauren, Seb and myself thought that the idea would be hard to portray or complete the task objective with this idea and thought it would be better to change the idea into a comedy piece. We started filming using Seb as our main character. what we filmed came out well, however the next lesson Seb was absent as well as having all the footage so as a group we decided to go back to our original idea and done all the filming and most of the editing in one lesson allowing us to finish the production piece.
